Construction Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist to join our team in Tempe, AZ. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional with a strong construction background who is confident handling certified payroll, compliance, and reporting requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday | On-Site

Pay:
Up to $35/hour (DOE)

• Process weekly certified payroll for construction projects
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws (Davis-Bacon, etc.)
• Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports accurately and on time
• Maintain employee payroll records, classifications, fringe benefits, and deductions
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to compliance audits or inquiries
• Coordinate with HR, project managers, and accounting as needed

• Minimum 4 years of certified payroll experience
• Construction industry background required
• Strong knowledge of prevailing wage regulations and compliance standards
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with View Point Spectrum and Excel
