HR Assistant
LHH Recruitment is working with a company in Tempe who is in search of an HR Assistant to join their HR department. This role is Monday-Friday either 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm. Once you are fully trained, there may be hybrid flexibility. Hourly pay is up to $26/hr.
This role will be heavily focused on employee onboarding and I-9 verification compliance, making accuracy, organization, and confidentiality essential. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting employees through a smooth and compliant onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end onboarding for new hires, including offer paperwork, orientation coordination, and system setup
- Complete and maintain I-9 verifications in compliance with federal regulations
- Ensure employee records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained
- Assist with HR administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and audits
- Serve as a point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process
- Support the HR team with special projects and day-to-day administrative needs
- Previous experience in an HR administrative or HR support role
- Strong working knowledge of I-9 and onboarding compliance
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
$23.00 to $26.00 per hour.
