GTI Energy is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day Human Resources operations across the employee lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in onboarding, employee records management, timekeeping, payroll support, benefits administration, compliance, and employee communications. The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a key liaison between employees, leadership, and the HR team, helping ensure efficient HR processes, accurate data management, and a positive employee experience.
This role requires strong organization, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to support multiple HR priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Support onboarding of new employees by preparing documentation, coordinating pre-employment steps, and conducting orientation activities
- Ensure smooth integration of new hires into the organization through timely communication and process execution
- Support employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes
- Maintain consistent onboarding standards across multiple departments or locations
- Ensure all locations have a consistent orientation with consistent site information provided as needed, led a quarterly meeting to receive feedback and update the orientation deck to ensure employees receive up to date and accurate information
- Maintain and update employee records in our HRIS and other systems with accuracy and confidentiality
- Ensure personnel files, HR documentation, and records are complete, organized, and audit-ready
- Complete I-9 paperwork for new hires to ensure legal compliance, conduct I-9 audits to ensure accuracy
- Generate reports on headcount, turnover, attendance, onboarding, benefits, and other HR metrics as needed
- Support data audits and data integrity initiatives; respond to information requests and verification inquiries
- Coordinate timekeeping processes including attendance tracking, punch corrections, approvals, and payroll data validation
- Work with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely employee pay processing
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, timekeeping, deductions, and tax withholding
- Resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and professional manner while escalating to the HR Admin when necessary
- Help employees with GTI’s benefits programs including enrollment, qualifying events, and documentation
- Respond to employee benefit inquiries; communicate benefits information, open enrollment, and wellness initiatives and know when to elevate to benefits team if necessary
- Coordinate with Benefits Administrator on eligibility, claims, and compliance
- Maintain benefit records and supporting documentation
- Support applicant tracking system (ATS) administration and candidate workflow updates
- Assist with job postings, recruiting events, and hiring process logistics
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Support compliance with federal and state labor laws, company policies, and OSHA requirements
- Assist with audits, documentation requests, I-9 verification, workers' compensation claims, and required reporting
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee information
- Coordinate policy acknowledgements and ensure employee communications are clear and timely
- Track compliance requirements and coordinate with corporate HR on regulatory updates
- Help organize employee engagement events, recognition programs, and culture-building initiatives
- Support HR programs that improve morale, retention, and workplace experience
- Assist with internal communications and employee-facing announcements
- Promote a positive and service-oriented HR presence on-site
