The API First effort will deliver a world-class API Platform for commercial and transaction banking to enable the bank’s competitive market position. This will serve our customers' best interests by providing an improved product suite, increased financial performance, and it will also eliminate significant legacy platforms.

The Resetting the technology backbone ‘R’ is a multi-year effort that will implement a scalable, secure, compliant, and efficient technology platform; enable the Technology organization to be 'fit for growth' to meet future acquisition, customer growth, and product needs; drive a step-change reduction in technology operating costs; increase speed-to-market; minimize residual risk; and ensure security and compliance.
** The Role
** The Middleware Cloud Services Engineer will be a hands-on technical engineer that will be accountable for Software development, R&D and operations in support of the Enterprise Integration Platform  this team, you will face a wide array of technical challenges that greatly impact our business.  This team works closely across the Cloud Transformation Organization, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Engineering and Operations organizations, in order to deliver next generation capabilities in an operationally stable software defined ecosystem to MUFG and its customers.

The role will be responsible for design, evolution, implementation and support of the cloud transformation Enterprise Integration Platform operating across geographically diverse data centers, as well as cloud service providers, empowering our customers with capabilities of highly available, automated and cost-effective platform solutions to address resiliency, performance, portability, security and disaster recovery needs.

The Role will serve as a point of escalation for all operational issues and critical events related to the Enterprise Integration Platform. The position will also need the individual to train the staff, developing standard operating procedures and writing knowledge articles. The Engineer will also be a key contributor to automation roadmap and strategy to improve policy driven automated operations while adhering to the industry best practices and infrastructure-as-code principles.
