Sr. IT Project Manager

The Sr. IT Project Manager manages and oversees modernization efforts for several enterprise technology platforms, involving updating legacy systems and enabling scalable architectures to support long-term digital strategies. This role manages the entire project lifecycle for multiple projects from definition through implementation while maintaining IT strategies and implementing technological solutions.

• Coordinate transition activities between existing and future-state systems.
• Lead daily stand-ups and facilitate monthly formal status reporting on progress, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Maintain project plans, RAID logs, timelines, and documentation aligned with PMO standards.
• Partner with business owners to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and project outcomes.
• Identify potential delays early and drive mitigation strategies while managing change requests and approvals.
• Direct technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, and user projects.
• Maintain organization effectiveness by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for information technologies.
• Verify application results by conducting system audits of implemented technologies.
• Manage financial objectives by forecasting requirements and analyzing variances.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• 6–8 years of IT Project Management experience.
• Proven experience delivering projects in both Waterfall and Agile environments.
• Strong background in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Highly organized with strong prioritization skills in a deadline-driven, enterprise setting.
• Experience maintaining organization effectiveness by defining and delivering strategic plans.

• PMP (PMI) Certification.
• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
• Knowledge of Cyber Security, disaster recovery, and information security control structures.
• Familiarity with Disciplined Agile (DASM/DASSM) or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience managing vendor or offshore resources.

$74.90 - $107.00 /hr.
