Senior Data Scientist; First – Predictive Analytics

A client in the infrastructure and construction space is hiring their first Senior Data Scientist to build and lead a new predictive analytics function. They currently have strong Data Engineering and BI teams in place, but no formal predictive analytics capability. This role will establish that function from the ground up.

• Productionalize existing predictive models and advance new analytics initiatives
• Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize high-value predictive use cases
• Design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions that drive measurable business outcomes
• Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle: data exploration to feature engineering to modeling to deployment to monitoring
• Establish MLOps best practices, including deployment pipelines, model monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineering, BI, and AI teams
• Help define and evangelize predictive analytics capabilities across the organization
• This role requires someone comfortable operating independently, engaging directly with business stakeholders, and turning ambiguous problems into production-ready solutions.

• Databricks (primary data platform; Spark-based processing)
• Power BI / Microsoft Fabric
• Python & SQL required
• Experience with MLOps, model monitoring, and deployment pipelines

• Experience in Data Science / Applied Machine Learning
• Strong Databricks or similar distributed compute experience
• Experience productionalizing ML models in enterprise environments
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders
