Information Technology Services at MCCCD is seeking an elite Cybersecurity Engineer to elevate Maricopa's security posture and protect mission-critical systems. Reporting to the Director of Security Operations, you'll be the technical powerhouse driving security innovation across enterprise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
In this role, you'll leverage cutting-edge tools-EDR platforms, next-generation firewalls, and SIEM/SOAR solutions-to lead proactive threat hunting, rapid incident response, and deep forensic investigations. Your expertise in vulnerability management, disaster recovery, and business continuity will be pivotal in building resilient, future-proof architectures in AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Essential Functions

20% - Security Technology Management
- Designs, configures, deploys, and maintains enterprise security technologies, including next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection platforms (EDR/XDR), SIEM/SOAR solutions, and vulnerability management tools; ensures continuous optimization and tuning to maximize detection and prevention capabilities.
- Partners with network, systems, and cloud teams to implement secure configurations and hardening across on-premises and cloud infrastructure; enforces security best practices and compliance standards.
