At Edward Jones, our Network Technologies team designs and supports the enterprise network platforms that enable secure, reliable connectivity across the firm. This team partners closely with architecture, operations, and cloud teams to modernize network infrastructure while maintaining the stability and resilience required in a highly regulated environment. Joining this team means working on large scale, business‑critical systems where thoughtful design, automation, and operational excellence directly impact the firm’s ability to serve clients.

In this role, you will operate as a senior network engineering resource responsible for designing, supporting, and evolving enterprise network solutions. You will balance hands‑on engineering with technical leadership, contributing to project work, incident resolution, automation initiatives, and lifecycle management across on‑prem and cloud networking platforms.

• Partner with architects and engineering peers to design, test, and implement enterprise network solutions
• Serve as the technology lead for major network upgrades and deployment initiatives
• Ensure network solutions meet operational requirements for performance, capacity, resiliency, automation, monitoring, backup, and lifecycle management
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex network incidents and escalations
• Develop and maintain automation using Python and Infrastructure as Code to improve reliability and efficiency
• Act as a primary technical point of contact for vendors related to supported network platforms
• Train and support junior engineers on new systems, tooling, and operational processes
• Participate in project and operational workflows using Agile/Scrum practices and tools such as Jira and Service Now
• Participation in an on‑call rotation is required approximately once every 2 months as primary or secondary for a one‑week period. On‑call coverage is 24/7 during that week and can be performed remotely.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network solutions, including routing, switching, load balancing, DDI, network management platforms, and packet analysis
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco enterprise networking platforms, including Nexus 9000 series
• Hands‑on experience with f5 LTM and GTM platforms
• Experience with DDI solutions;
  Infoblox experience preferred
• Practical experience with BGP, OSPF, and TCP/IP in enterprise environments
• Experience supporting cloud networking in Microsoft Azure IaaS environments
• Experience developing or supporting network automation using Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Prior to that date, they are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.

While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home‑based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home‑based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on‑site work.
