Job Description
TEKsystems is partnering with an end‑client on a Network Transformation across 500+ locations. The project will consist of supporting a variety of install projects ranging from small sites of 5‑10 users to larger office locations of 1000+ users and all of the infrastructure supporting each site. As the network changes start to happen, there will be an increased need of support for over 40,000 employees across the State of Arizona.
ResponsibilitiesThe Network Refresh Technicians will be responsible for deploying the network equipment on site at the State Agency locations. During scheduled migration nights, technicians will coordinate with the NOC to remove existing equipment, install new equipment, turn it up and test it to ensure functionality. Technicians will keep documentation of the install and communicate effectively with PMs and the NOC team to ensure a smooth cutover.
They may work solo on small sites (5‑10 users) or as part of a team of 4–5 on larger sites (1000+ users).
- Minimum 1+ year of experience installing Cisco network equipment in a live network environment (LAN/WAN/Wireless).
- Familiarity with basic cabling standards and terminations.
- Knowledge of VoIP is a nice to have.
- Professionalism and strong communication skills; role is customer‑facing with State of Arizona agency employees.
- A CCNA or Net+ certification is a nice to have.
- Router, Switch, Cisco, Install, cabling, troubleshooting.
