Senior Client Delivery Manager - US West Region

What you BuildSenior Client Delivery Managers (CDMs) collaborate closely with Technical and Project teams to deliver remote and on‑site services that meet each client’s needs and complexity. After contract execution, the CDM is the primary SAP ECS contact, assuming end‑to‑end accountability for engagement delivery and performance. They act as a trusted advisor, growing the business by supporting client relationships, coordinating ECS‑related requests, and providing trusted escalation points for all issues.
SeniorCDM Tasks
- Develop a strategic engagement that focuses on core services delivered to the client.
- Continuously strengthen the trusted advisor relationship with executives and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate accountability as the single orchestrator for end‑to‑end delivery.
- Set up the engagement and manage all lifecycle phases after contract signature (on‑boarding, transition, stabilization, operations, off‑boarding).
- Ensure operational excellence on contract administration supported by ECS functions (profitability reporting, invoicing, credits, penalties, etc.).
- Create and maintain service plans for each customer to proactively manage operational risk and reduce costs from unforeseen outages.
- Identify service improvements and delivery opportunities and realize value for the client.
- Track and report on business growth and upsell throughout the entire engagement lifecycle.
- Dedicate up to 80% of time on‑site at the client location.
- 12+ years of experience in SAP Basis and/or infrastructure operation/development.
- 10+ years of experience in a customer‑facing role.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in Business Administration, Computer Science, Technical Engineering, Economics or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of SAP Basis, virtualized system landscapes, and cloud/ hybrid infrastructure.
- Ability to translate between technical and non‑technical audiences with confidence.
- Strong engagement management, relationship building, and de‑escalation skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication and moderation skills.
- High competency in multi‑tasking and managing multiple engagements concurrently.
- Experience working in an international and global matrix organization.
- Experience managing IT service provider or outsourcing engagements.
- Understanding of SAP’s cloud business, cloud operations and hybrid infrastructure processes.
- Knowledge and certifications in SAP IT operational standards (e.g., SAP CCoE, ITIL V4 Foundation or Expert Level, Run SAP standards, Solution Manager ALM) are beneficial.
- Certification in a project management methodology (e.g., PMP) is beneficial.
Targeted annual combined range: 159,800–332,300 USD. The actual offer will depend on education, skills, experience, scope, location and other factors. Variable incentive targets are included as part of the total compensation package.
