We are searching for an in‑house IT Support Technician to work at our corporate office in Tempe.
Under supervision of the VP of IT and the Senior Support Technician, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade computer hardware, software, applications, personal computer networks, peripheral equipment, and fix problems with the company’s custom applications at corporate, branch and affiliate offices.
You must be flexible and excited about working in a fast‑paced team environment, exhibit strong communication and organizational skills, and be willing and able to focus on both internal and external customer service to meet business needs.
Responsibilities- Installs, configures and upgrades operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages; may modify specific applications for use in operational departments.
- Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware; pulls cables and rewires or directs the rewiring of cables as required for new installations and office reconfiguration.
- Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including hardware and software, custom applications, e‑mail, network and peripheral equipment; makes repairs and corrections where required.
- Acts as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and applications; staffs a centralized help desk solution.
- Responds to telephone calls, e‑mails and personnel requests for technical support.
- Performs cleaning and maintenance of office‑wide printers, faxes and photocopy machines.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
- Exhibits excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Participates in the on‑call rotation.
- Previous experience in IT, computer support or other related role.
- Fluent written and spoken English skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
THIS IS A FULL‑TIME 35‑40 HRS/WK POSITION WITH BENEFITS.
