Join our dynamic team as a Field Engineer 4, where you'll play a vital role in supporting clients throughout the Tempe, AZ metro area. As a trusted on-site technician, you'll leverage your break-fix expertise to keep laptops, desktops, and peripherals running seamlessly. If you're passionate about delivering top-notch customer service and thrive on solving hardware challenges, this contract opportunity offers hands-on experience, autonomy, and frequent variety in your workday.
[Responsibilities]
- Respond promptly to service requests to repair laptops and desktops at client locations.
- Diagnose issues and perform repairs such as replacing motherboards, hard drives, and keyboards.
- Conduct whole unit swaps and troubleshoot/replace PC peripherals.
- Accurately close service tickets in real time using a company-provided phone and call management system.
- Maintain professional communication and uphold service quality standards.
- Travel daily across the metro and surrounding areas using your own reliable vehicle.
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Minimum 1 year hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.
- Solid understanding of hardware components and basic software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities for basic and non-complex technical issues.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Must have personal, reliable car and valid car insurance.
[Preferred Skills]
- Experience building computers.
- 2+ years in field technician or similar roles.
