Technical Business Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements from internal and external clients and will prepare functional and technical requirements for IT. Responsibilities include managing a full range of activities that ensure effectiveness in working with clients. This will encompass startups, development of client specific reporting tools or data extracts, implementing new client imports of EMR extracts, and other client implementations that involve planning, requirements gathering, implementation and production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gathers requirements from operations or clients and participates in projects from original concept through final implementation. Evaluates complex business requirements; performs process analysis of customer activities to determine alternative business solutions or process improvement opportunities.
- Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.
- Utilize Azure Dev Ops for creating business requirements, stories and features.
- Develops business client testing strategies, plans cases and conditions; tests and monitors testing efforts; reviews and approves new system behavior to ensure alignment with business requirements and objectives.
- Collects, analyzes and tracks information. Analyzes feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of large or complex programs.
- Monitors milestones throughout the projects. Directly responsible for projects or subprojects; leads projects including developing project plans, assigning tasks and facilitating team process.
- Coordinates upgrades, new software implementations, complex project implementations including specific duties related to training and monitoring performance.
- Provides timely reporting of issues that may impact project process. Communicate with both internal and external customers on project status, e.g. clients, vendors, business partners and Information Technology.
- Meets with project teams regularly review project deliverables and deadlines.
- Prepare routine reports, including analyzing trends and recommending adjustments to business processes that address trends.
- Prepares user documentation and training materials. Provides technical training and user support to business groups and clients. Develops communication plans and related activities.
- Depicts complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope and direction to project team; educates IT team on business vision and plan and both IT and business team on the impact of change.
- Works with other departments to coordinate interdepartmental activities in order to ensure that organization meets customer expectations. Leads problem resolution as needed to ensure that internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient service in accordance with company policies.
- Assists in the facilitation of internal and external meetings, including meeting objectives and agendas.
- Manages change requests related to the project plans daily to meet deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience performing Business Analysis and / or Project Management activities.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops.
- Must exhibit technical leadership and have experience with team building, process improvement, conflict resolution, and motivating people.
