The North American Specialist team is made up of deep domain experts who work directly with our customers to solve their most complex challenges. We are part of the Account Team, responsible for account planning, opportunity identification, and pursuit. We stay closely connected to our customers and bring valuable data and insights to our product teams, strengthening the product roadmap. Our team is at its best when a customer is thinking big and needs specialized experience to innovate for their business.

Key job responsibilities

- Accelerate customer adoption by defining and implementing tech domain specific GTM strategies within your assigned accounts and technology domain. Your strategies will leverage AWS Sales and our partner ecosystem.

- Ideate with Line of Business and C-suite leaders, building trust with your deep technical expertise, and following through to help solve their most compelling business problems.

- Act as the front line within your accounts for all specialist customer engagement in your tech domain.

- Create & articulate compelling value propositions that address specific needs of your customers.

- Build and innovate:
Co-Develop GTM motions on new product launches and work with product teams on the creation of innovative new services.

- Partner with system integrators to deliver on customer projects.

- You get to educate customers on "art of the possible" success stories and AWS enablers including Amazon Redshift, a managed petabyte-scale data warehouse for fast SQL analytics;
Amazon Athena, for serverless SQL queries directly on S3 data;
Amazon EMR, a managed big data platform for Spark, Hive, and Presto workloads; AWS Glue, a managed ETL service for data preparation and transformation; AWS Lake Formation, for simplified data lake creation and management; AWS Sage Maker Studio, a unified IDE for end-to-end machine learning workflows;
Amazon Kinesis and MSK for real-time data streaming and processing; and Amazon Open Search, a managed search and analytics engine. You'll help customers understand how this analytics foundation enables them to build and deploy AI/ML solutions using Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Sage Maker, and other AWS AI services to drive business transformation.

Key job responsibilities

- Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory.

- Meet or exceed annual revenue targets.

- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.

- Develop working backwards analytics visions including business case and financial justification, potentially gleaned from earnings reports.

- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS analytics services.

- Accelerate customer adoption of Amazon analytics services.

- Maintain a robust sales pipeline leveraging sales force automation tools and best practices

- Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.

- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.

- Ensure customer satisfaction.

- Expect moderate travel.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, or a related field

- 10+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience

- 10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience

- Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting

- 5+ years of technology sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AWS technologies
