Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Lead – GSOC Operations to support and enhance our Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) functions. This role is ideal for a seasoned cybersecurity professional with experience in monitoring, triaging, and responding to security alerts within a regulated environment, such as financial services. The candidate must be fluent in both English and Japanese and possess the cultural fluency necessary to collaborate with international teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, triage, and escalate security alerts in accordance with defined procedures and SLAs.
- Execute incident response playbooks and document security incidents thoroughly.
- Collaborate closely with global GSOC teams while adhering to the MUFG GSOC operating model.
- Ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards and frameworks including NIST and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Support Business Operations Transfer (BOT) models as part of global collaboration initiatives.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders across Japan and the U.S.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the security operations team.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) or Cybersecurity roles.
- Proven experience in monitoring, triaging, and escalating cyber incidents.
- Familiarity with GSOC workflows, NIST cybersecurity framework, and MITRE ATT&CK matrix.
- Strong understanding of incident response processes and cybersecurity playbook execution.
- Prior experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred.
- Ability to work hybrid from Tempe, AZ or Tampa, FL, with flexibility for other locations (e.g., Tokyo).
- Business Operations Transfer (BOT) model experience is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is required, along with strong cultural awareness.
