Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Tempe, AZ that is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Architect/Platform Engineer.
Summary:
The candidate should have personally designed, built, and operated Azure environments at scale and can own architecture decisions while still being hands‑on in the technology as is often the case in smaller/mid‑size companies. This candidate will be the technical lead for Azure infrastructure, cloud architecture, networking, and platform engineering.
- Designing Azure landing zones from scratch
- Building enterprise hub‑and‑spoke or Virtual WAN architectures
- Implementing governance using Management Groups, Azure Policy, RBAC, and Entra
- Building Infrastructure as Code solutions using Bicep or Terraform
- Designing secure networking including VPNs, Express Route, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and private endpoints
- Supporting both commercial Azure and Azure Government environments
- Working directly with application teams to design cloud‑native solutions
- Creating repeatable deployment patterns rather than one‑off solutions
- Working with both brownfield and greenfield implementations
- Troubleshooting complex Azure issues without relying on Microsoft support

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
