Description

Amazon's Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is seeking a Supply Chain Manager II to join the Global Procurement Operations Reusable Team (GPORT). This role will drive operational excellence in managing Amazon's reusable asset ecosystem, including totes, Universal Plastic Pallets (UPP), and GoCarts across our global fulfillment network. You will play a critical role in optimizing asset utilization, reducing costs, and advancing sustainability initiatives while supporting the transition to Amazon Network Totes (ANT) and expanding Project Torus capabilities.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous environments, demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, and excels at cross-functional collaboration. You will partner with Operations, Transportation, Engineering, and Technology teams to deliver measurable business impact through data-driven decision making and process innovation.

Key job responsibilities

Manage end-to-end lifecycle of reusable assets (totes, UPP, GoCarts) across assigned region, ensuring 95%+ stock-out service levels and 99%+ peak binary in-stock performance

Drive cost savings initiatives through asset optimization, damage rate reduction, and regional repair network improvements, contributing to GPORT's $100MM+ annual savings target

Lead implementation of RFID tracking infrastructure (Project Mobius) across fulfillment sites to improve asset visibility and reduce unnecessary transport

Support the US network transition from Network Yellow Totes (NYT) to Amazon Network Totes (ANT), managing asset injection, demand planning, and network compliance

Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies

Partner with Transportation and Logistics teams to optimize asset flow, reduce trailer dwell time, and improve repair cycle times

Develop and maintain relationships with third-party repair vendors and storage hub operators, ensuring service level agreement compliance

Create and deliver business reviews (WBRs, MBRs) to stakeholders, communicating performance metrics, risks, and mitigation plans

Support sustainability initiatives by tracking reusable saturation rates, carbon impacts, and waste avoidance metrics

Collaborate with Technology teams to implement automation solutions and leverage AI-driven analytics for predictive asset management
