What You’ll Do- Keep our systems, technology, and employees safe as a member of the Information Assurance team.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert in Information Assurance and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Work independently and with a team of Information Assurance professionals to ensure information system compliance across multiple business areas or programs.
- Assess, document, and recommend controls based on RMF, NISPOM and other NISP regulatory requirements, and record implementation in the Security Controls Tractability Matrix.
- Document compliance actions within the authorized automated compliance tracking system or develop a Plan of Actions and Milestones to address non‑compliance.
- Participate in internal and external security audits and inspections, perform risk assessments and continuous monitoring.
- Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with the governing authority approved authorization package and customer directives.
- Develop procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with Configuration Management for security‑relevant IS software, hardware, and firmware.
- Take corrective actions, follow up, and ensure resolution of incidents or vulnerabilities.
- Assess and revise policies and procedures to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3years as an Information System Security Officer in a DoD, IC, or other industrial security program.
- In‑depth understanding of DoD 8500 series, NIST 800 series, ICD
503, Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide, and the DoD Risk Management Framework. - Experience with vulnerability and compliance scanning tools (Nessus, SCAP, ACAS).
- Familiarity with network technologies (LAN & WAN) and best practices in a classified environment, including crypto and key management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and system virtualization in a secure network environment.
- Strong written communication and organizational skills.
- Interpersonal skills to work courteously and effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to work well under pressure and possess advanced problem‑solving skills.
- Possess a current DoD 8570.1/DoD 8140.01 certification (Security CE).
- Minimum Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- 5 years of experience as an ISSO.
Salary ranges from $93,500 to $148,000 annually, or $112,000 to $168,000 for select Bay Area and New York City locations. Compensation may also include cash or stock incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
