Job Description

The Broadcast Reliability Engineer supports a 24/7 broadcast operation and is responsible for building and operating intelligent monitoring and automation platforms that ensure reliable content delivery across linear broadcast, Video on Demand, streaming, and emerging media platforms.

Role Overview
  • Develop and maintain intelligent monitoring and automation platforms.
  • Design and implement software solutions that guarantee reliable delivery of FOX content across broadcast, VOD, and streaming platforms.
  • Automate workflows and leverage AI‑driven monitoring for operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with broadcast operations, engineering, and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
  • Provide flexible coverage for live events and critical operational activities on a 24/7 basis.

Requirements
  • 1–3 years of hands‑on experience with software‑based design, development, or technical support projects.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with architecture, deployment, or administration of monitoring, alerting, and data analysis systems in on‑premises and cloud environments (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear documentation of technical issues and presentation of findings.
  • Experience with C# and/or Python; familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and scripting/automation.
  • Experience in production video and broadcast operations.
  • Experience with IP networking and broadcast workflows (SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2022‑6, multicast, PTP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and automation solutions such as Skyline Data Miner (preferred).
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts, including anomaly detection, predictive monitoring, and AI‑assisted operational workflows.
  • Experience utilizing AI‑assisted development platforms to support scripting, code analysis, troubleshooting, API integration, and automation development.
Nice to Have
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with the Skyline Data Miner platform, including protocols, connectors, dashboards, automations, or low‑code applications.
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability platforms such as ELK/Elastic Stack, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Experience with incident management workflows and integrations with Service Now, Slack, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with XML, JSON, and data format configuration languages.
  • Familiarity with SQL, time‑series databases, or data visualization tools (preferred).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this role is $39.75–42.00 per hour. This position is eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Union represented employees will receive benefits in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
