iT1, a leading national technology solution provider headquartered in Tempe, AZ, is looking for a Configuration Technician I to join our team. This role is a great entry‑level role in the IT consulting and managed services world.

The Configuration Technician I is responsible for both internal and external facing responsibilities. In this position, you will be a critical point of contact between iT1 Consulting and the rest of the organization, as well as iT1’s customers, in setting up, configuring, and deploying Client assets.

• Set up and configure computers and peripherals based on the scope of work.
• Accurately diagnose problems with malfunctioning PCs, Macs, laptops, printers or other peripherals.
• Perform quality control on the assigned project.
• Follow project-specific instructions; every project is different.
• Respond to order requests and customer emails to assist in troubleshooting any problems that arise.

• Imaging laptops and desktops
• Hardware and software installations and configurations
• Troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware and software issues
• Bench testing refurbished devices such as PCs, monitors, switches, phones, etc.
• Desktop and laptop repair
• Server hardware configuration
• Small office installs
• Documentation

• 1-3 years of related experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A+ certification or comparable experience
• Working knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
• Working knowledge of common desktop applications
• Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop computer hardware
• Ability to work full-time
• Occasional travel
• Dependable transportation
• Ability to multi‑task

• Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for long periods of time
• Time spent in low postures (crouching, stooping, kneeling, bending)
• Climbing (ramps, stairs, or ladders)
• Sitting at a computer for 8 hours per day
• Keyboarding for 8 hours per day
• Reaching overhead
• Near vision (working with small objects or reading small print)
• Speaking (communicating information to clients / coworkers)

iT1 Warehouse in Phoenix, AZ

Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM

$21 per hour
