Security Architect

Edward Jones is seeking a Security Architect to design and evolve secure solutions that protect client and firm data across our financial platforms. In this role, you will define security architecture standards, evaluate and select security technologies, and partner with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to embed security into every stage of solution design. You will conduct threat modeling, assess emerging risks, and guide remediation strategies to meet regulatory and industry requirements.

You'll mentor engineers, influence security roadmap decisions, and help strengthen a culture of security in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise security architecture standards and reference models
• Embed security requirements into application, infrastructure, and cloud solution designs
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems
• Evaluate, select, and guide implementation of security tools and technologies
• Ensure alignment with regulatory, privacy, and industry security frameworks
• Develop and maintain security patterns, guidelines, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and design gaps
• Provide expert guidance on secure network, cloud, and data architectures
• Mentor engineers and developers on secure design and best practices
• Contribute to long-term security roadmap and strategy for Edward Jones platforms
