The organization is currently on the lookout for a Services Engineer II to join a growing managed services provider's networking team in the Greater Phoenix area. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience supporting Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki, and SonicWALL environments across multiple client networks, handling a mix of troubleshooting, escalations, and project-based engineering work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with support and configuration of MSP client network equipment
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation relating to client environments.
- Utilize network monitoring tools and alerting for troubleshooting.
- Assist with or lead professional services network projects
- Effectively work with multiple external clients on various projects, systems, and demands
- Creating and reading network diagrams and other knowledge base documentation
- Troubleshoot networking (route/switch) and firewall issues
- Handle escalations from and provide guidance to other team members
- Drive tickets to closure meeting SLAs and client expectations
- Perform on-call support duties on a rotating basis
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management
Skills/Must Have:
- 3+ years required experience with network router/switch/firewall setup, implementation, and configuration
- 1+ year of MSP, or similar client facing industry, experience highly preferred
- The ability to adapt and learn quickly
- Possess the ability and desire to develop relationships with clients and internal staff
- Follow process and identify possible improvements
- Ensure proper time management skills
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
