In this role, youll work school day hours, arriving before the first bell (around 8:15-8:20 AM) and remaining through dismissal at 3:40 PM. Your expertise will foster inclusivity, bridge communication barriers, and contribute to a positive school experience for both the student and the wider classroom community.

• Successful completion of the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a minimum score of 3.5
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience in K-12 settings preferred, especially as an ASL interpreter or para educator
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

• Provide one-on-one ASL interpretation for a 7th grade student throughout the school day
• Facilitate clear and accurate communication between student, peers, and school staff
• Support the students participation in classroom activities, assignments, and discussions
• Collaborate with educators to adapt and optimize educational materials for accessibility
