Paralegal – TemporaryThe 4-month temporary Construction Paralegal supports attorneys by reviewing and redlining contracts and completing the initial contract review for construction-related projects. Key duties include redlining construction contracts, drafting emails that summarize the redlines and the associated risks, working with various contract review workflow software, including AI software, and working closely with the AIS contract attorneys.
Core ResponsibilitiesContract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and redlining construction contracts, subcontracts, and bid documentation; and drafting emails to clients explaining the reasoning behind the proposed red lines.
Project Documentation: Organizing project records, managing evidence, and coordinating with expert witnesses, project managers, and clients.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in reviewing, analyzing and redlining contracts.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract terminology.
Skills: Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in legal document management software.
Education: A paralegal certificate and/or associate Bachelor's degree is preferred, but 5+ years of commensurate contract review/management experience may meet this requirement.
This role is critical for mitigating risk, protecting company interests in disputes, and ensuring legal compliance throughout the construction lifecycle.
