We are seeking a detail‑oriented and driven Procurement Specialist to support purchasing operations in a fast‑paced electronics manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring the timely, cost‑effective acquisition of materials and services while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute purchasing of assigned electronic components, materials, and services based on MRP/ERP requirements and production demands.
  • Review and release purchase/work orders within budget and scope of authority.
  • Coordinate and expedite incoming materials to meet production and shipping schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and electrical engineering teams to identify and approve alternate components, support BOM cost reduction initiatives, and resolve quality concerns.
  • Lead RFx processes, perform cost analysis, and provide best‑value sourcing recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with authorized distributors, suppliers, and trusted brokers to support continuity of supply during allocation periods or market disruptions.
  • Monitor market trends, supply chain risks, lead times, and component availability to proactively identify sourcing challenges and opportunities.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems proactively to track inventory levels, automate replenishment activities, and maintain procurement accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records including pricing, delivery schedules, supplier performance metrics, and sourcing data.
  • Partner with quality and internal teams to resolve issues involving defective or non‑conforming materials.
  • Review and approve invoice discrepancies within scope.
  • Manage item master data to ensure inventory accuracy including ABC classifications, bin locations, and inventory controls.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies with materials and warehouse teams.
  • Track obsolete inventory and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Analyze sourcing strategies including supplier consolidation, cost savings initiatives, and procurement process improvements.
  • Create, interpret, and present procurement and supply chain analytics to support business decisions and operational improvements.
  • Monitor procurement and supply chain systems to ensure compliance with internal and ISO standards.
Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of procurement or supply chain experience within electronics manufacturing required. Candidates without electronics manufacturing experience will not be considered.

  • Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
  • Strong experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Experience with quoting/estimating within electronics manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Strong background in supplier negotiations, sourcing strategies, and contract management.
  • Hands‑on experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Made2

    Manage, or similar manufacturing platforms.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to create and interpret procurement/supply‑chain analytics.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Self‑starter with strong collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
  • CPIM, CSCP, or SCMP certification.
  • Experience with cost control and financial alignment.
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques.
  • Strategic sourcing mindset with strong market awareness and supplier relationship management capabilities.
  • Creative and proactive approach to supply chain problem solving and sourcing challenges.
