Position Description
Reporting to the Department Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day warehouse operations, including the shipping and receiving of product. The Supervisor ensures that customer needs are met through the timely and efficient movement of products and materials in a fast‑paced distribution environment.
Shift: Monday – Friday 4:00 pm – 2:30 am (hours may vary based on production needs)
Essential Job Functions- Adhere to and ensure compliance with all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with food quality and food safety guidelines per Refresco, Customer and/or governing bodies (e.g., SQF) standards.
- Lead and direct the work of other employees.
- Have authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
- Establish priorities and direct loading workforce to satisfy customer demands.
- Plan and execute logistic needs with trucking firms to ensure timely pick‑up and delivery of shipments, while minimizing freight cost.
- Implement and enforce processes aimed at creating maximum inventory consistency and accuracy.
- Review and resolve operational problems to minimize cost and prevent operational delays.
- Manage assigned business metrics/budgets including yield, labor efficiency, and overhead expenses.
- Demonstrate leadership to warehouse employees to ensure consistent quality of work.
- Maintain effective communication of expectations and goals throughout the Warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with all OHSA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards. Investigate and identify root causes of non‑compliance.
- Accountable for a safe working environment through strategies focused on accident reduction as well as energy and waste minimization.
- Oversee effective deployment of human resources throughout the department and ensure correct administration of the collective Bargaining Agreement, when applicable.
- Be a certified forklift trainer.
- Back up to Department Manager responsibilities.
- Represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
- Capability to read and write job instructions in the specified acceptable language(s) for the location.
- Ability to work under deadline pressures.
- Organized and detail‑oriented, adaptable to change.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
- Demonstrate basic operation of powered industrial trucks.
- Forklift certified by an approved Refresco trainer.
- Problem‑solving:
Ability to quickly identify and resolve operational issues. - Technology:
Familiarity with warehouse management software for tracking inventory and logistics. - Technology:
Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Cognitive:
Ability to analyze data and process parameters to optimize production. - Safety and risk management:
Participation in safety audits and inspections to ensure a safe working environment. - Proven leadership and ability to develop employees.
- Minimum:
High School graduation or equivalent (GED). Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred. - 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment; food/beverage manufacturing preferred.
- Work schedule:
Weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight, and holidays may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed. - Work environment:
Fast‑paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise level requires hearing protection; temperatures can be very hot or relatively cold. The environment is structured and supervised.

Rarely.
- Visual/sensory:
Requires moderate attention with one or two senses at a time. - Coordination and dexterity:
Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise control of equipment. - Mental stress:
Pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy, and similar demands.
