Maintenance Buyer Clerk

At Albertsons Companies we’re looking for a Maintenance Buyer to support our production facility by ensuring the timely purchase of parts, tools, and services needed to keep our equipment running efficiently. You’ll play a key role in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and maintaining inventory levels to minimize downtime and ensure that maintenance operations run smoothly.

• Source and procure parts, equipment, and services needed for maintenance and repair activities.
• Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure cost‑effective purchasing.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to forecast part needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Review and approve purchase orders and invoices, ensuring accuracy and budget alignment.
• Track delivery schedules and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely arrival of critical parts.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings through vendor consolidation or strategic sourcing.
• Participate in vendor evaluation and selection processes.
• Assist in budget management by monitoring costs and working to control spending.

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business, procurement, or related field preferred.
• Experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a maintenance or production environment.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and corporate procurement policies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with procurement systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and urgent needs.
