Job Description & How to Apply Below

Amazon’s Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS) organisation is looking for a Manager, Supply Chain Operations to lead a team that ensures consumable goods arrive at Amazon’s fulfilment sites on time, in full, and at the right stock levels. Reporting to the Head of GPCS AMER, you will own supplier delivery performance and supply continuity for a portfolio of packaging suppliers across North America.

You will lead a team of supply chain analysts who investigate supply continuity issues — such as late shipments, shorted orders, inventory discrepancies, and demand-forecast gaps — determine root cause, and work with suppliers and internal partners to drive corrective actions and prevent recurrence. The aim is to reduce supply disruptions and the excess inventory the network carries to buffer against them.

This is a people-management role for a leader who thrives on building a team, using data to solve supply chain problems, and delivering measurable improvements in service and cost. You will work across functional lines with suppliers, procurement teams, and site operations to bring together the right people to resolve issues that no single team can fix alone.

Up to 20% travel to supplier or Amazon sites may be expected.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and performance-manage a team of supply chain analysts focused on supplier delivery performance and inventory health
  • Own the investigation and resolution of supply continuity issues across an assigned supplier portfolio, working directly with suppliers to agree corrective actions and track them to completion
  • Prioritise the highest-impact issues and direct the team’s effort toward problems that drive the most disruption or excess inventory
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with procurement category managers, site operations teams, and suppliers
  • Develop and implement standard processes for defect investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action tracking
  • Define and report on key performance indicators; communicate results and progress to senior leadership
  • Build the team as it grows — hire, onboard, and develop analysts; raise capability over time through coaching and structured training
  • Drive process improvements that reduce supply disruptions and lower the inventory needed to buffer against them
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and data integrity across all team activities
