Job Description
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, hardware, tooling, and manufacturing supplies. You will issue purchase orders and monitor their status to ensure timely delivery, build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms. Additionally, you will coordinate with production planning to maintain material availability and prevent shortages, monitor inventory levels, and recommend purchasing strategies to optimize inventory while minimizing costs.
Responsibilities- Evaluate supplier performance for quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
- Expedite critical orders and resolve supplier delivery or quality issues.
- Obtain quotes, compare pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP/MRP system.
- Collaborate with Quality to ensure suppliers meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing and supply chain operations.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and aerospace quality standards.
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and inventory control.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with precision machining or CNC manufacturing.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO quality systems.
- Knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
- Skills in inventory management and forecasting.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
