Freight Brokerage Strategic Account Manager

Ryder System is seeking a Freight Brokerage Strategic Account Manager to lead high-value transportation accounts within our logistics network. In this role, you will oversee freight brokerage operations, drive margin and volume growth, and ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery for strategic customers. You will analyze lane performance, develop pricing and capacity strategies, and negotiate with carriers and shippers. Partner closely with operations, sales, and customer support to solve service issues, implement process improvements, and leverage Ryder's technology to deliver safety-focused, reliable solutions that strengthen long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow strategic freight brokerage accounts within Ryder's transportation network
• Develop pricing, capacity, and lane strategies to optimize margin and service
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and shippers
• Monitor KPIs, lane performance, and on-time service; implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer success teams on account plans
• Resolve service issues and escalations while maintaining customer satisfaction
• Leverage transportation management systems and data to drive decisions
• Prepare account reviews, performance reports, and customer presentations
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Ryder's solutions
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements
