Position TitleMaintenance Specialist
LocationTempe, Arizona 85281.
ScheduleFull-time, Monday to Friday, 5 days, 8 hours per day, total 40 hours.
Salary$19.00 per hour.
Qualifications- Satisfactory working knowledge of all major areas of building facility and janitorial services, including:
- Work order systems and quality control systems.
- Restroom sanitation, office cleaning, carpet care, and hard floor care.
- Equipment operation, maintenance, and chemical usage.
- Safety, employee PPE, and SDS procedures.
- Minimum two (2) years supervising crews, systems, and preventive programs.
- Two or more years of direct property maintenance experience.
- Strong professional and positive customer communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Possess or be able to obtain OSHA training certification.
- Ability to pass background check and drug test.
- Review and follow daily/weekly task schedules as assigned by Property Management.
- Plan and manage supply needs to avoid service delays.
- Communicate additional staffing needs promptly to management.
- Complete Betco U Training (5 key modules):
- OSHA.
- Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Slip & Fall.
- Restroom Sanitation.
- Office Sanitation.
- Complete equipment training on operation, use, maintenance, and damage reporting.
- Adhere to uniform policy and daily PPE requirements (gloves, hearing protection, wet gear, etc.).
- Report all incidents involving injury or property damage immediately to management.
- Working knowledge of low‑voltage electrical systems (repair/replacement of switches, receptacles, cords, etc.).
- Working knowledge of drywall repair/replacement, priming, and painting.
- Competency in using and maintaining hand tools and power tools for assigned tasks.
- May require outdoor work, kneeling, and crouching.
- Must be available for nights, weekends, or out-of-state work as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining organized shop and supply closets.
- Property Management will determine cancellations due to inclement weather.
- Must be able to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods.
- Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more occasionally).
- Position is physically demanding and requires endurance and flexibility.
