OverviewThe Expenditure Management team sits at the heart of our organization’s financial operations, ensuring every dollar spent is accurate, accountable, and aligned with our strategic goals. We oversee the full lifecycle of company expenditures - from vendor onboarding and invoice processing to compliance, reporting, and continuous process improvement. Our work directly supports operational efficiency, strengthens financial integrity, and empowers teams across the business to make informed, responsible spending decisions.
WhatYou Will Do
- Support and lead a team of Accounts Payable associates promoting high quality performance and associate development.
- Ensure team responsibilities/objectives are completed timely and accurately.
- Participate and/or lead in department and division projects.
- Develop and maintain effective communications and relationships within Finance and across the firm.
- Prioritize, delegate, and understand controls and workflow.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of department policies and procedures.
- Conduct performance meetings and coach associates to ensure continuous improvement.
- Identify, propose solutions and implement efficiency improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or relevant work experience
- CPA, CMA, ACCA, or IOFM AP certifications a plus
- Prior people/project leadership experience is a plus
- Prior experience with enterprise financial management tools a plus:
Oracle, People Soft, and Coupa - Ability to lead, coach, and develop an AP team
- Experience with workload planning and task allocation
- Performance monitoring and KPI management
- Ability to identify risks, resolve discrepancies, and possess a controls mindset
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage a team in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to participate and lead a team through significant process improvement and systems change. Prior enterprise financial or HR systems change experience a strong plus.
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
