THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an Assistant Program Manager that will assist in providing strategic direction across various groups of customer accounts and multi-disciplinary internal teams to deliver and improve upon defined performance metrics.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable outlining and planning all aspects of work related to a given project such as budget, timelines and teams. They will have strong communication skills that enable them to effectively communicate and collaborate with all relevant teams. This individual should be able to foresee any problems related to the completion of a project and act in a timely manner to mitigate any issues.

This position is responsible for all facets of program and client management.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management and participates in DSM’s program management activities including but not limited to contract reviews, quoting, purchase order management, forecasting, revenue tracking, budgeting and customer presentations
  • Assisting in the development program plans and sales strategies
  • Broaden and advance customer relationships
  • Identifying and leading business development opportunities for clients
  • Preparing and presenting regular on-site and off-site customer business reviews
  • Leading and coordinating functions and responsibilities with DSM’s customer focused teams in attaining objectives
  • Manages customer expectations regarding the ongoing delivery of products and services
  • Driving and implementing program management improvements
Qualifications
  • Degree and/or Technical Diploma in a related field and 6+ years’ sales/account management experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in the electronics industry preferred
  • Sound understanding of manufacturing processes required
  • Solid program management, presentation, and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to create and maintain strong working relationships
  • Proven customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to effectively organize and work with team members from a variety of departments
  • Customer focused attitude
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office including experience with ERP systems such as M2M
