Student Services Analyst (Short Term)

Location: Rio Salado Community College

Department:
Testing Department, Rio Salado College. The position supports Testing Services by providing operational planning, program enhancements, problem resolution, and coordination for the day-to-day operation of the Testing Department.

• 35% - Provide leadership and oversight of the Testing Department's daily operations, including direct supervision and management of part-time testing technicians at all Testing Center locations. Responsibilities include recruitment, hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, training, scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, and leave coordination. Serve as manager on duty during evening hours and support the management team to ensure services run smoothly across locations.
  
  Act as a primary contact to support staff and provide guidance across multiple locations.
• 30% - Develop, manage, and oversee staff schedules for all Testing Center locations and virtual services to ensure coverage during all hours of operation. Monitor staffing levels and testing demand, address coverage gaps, and conduct site visits to build relationships with staff and the community while ensuring alignment with departmental goals and service standards.
• 25% - Administer exams while delivering front-line customer service, technical support, and resolution of escalated issues for staff, students, and test candidates. Act as a subject-matter expert on testing policies, procedures, and academic integrity; support staff in implementing best practices for test administration. Communicate updates to staff, faculty, and stakeholders; ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and partner requirements; collaborate with vendors and other departments to support Testing Services and candidate needs.
• 10% - Coordinate and facilitate Testing Department meetings, presentations, and training activities. Prepare and disseminate information to ensure department websites and communications reflect accurate information, including closures. Lead or support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job, unless otherwise subject to legal or regulatory requirements.

• Experience hiring and leading or supervising staff
• Experience working in an academic testing environment with knowledge of software and programs specific to academic testing
• Experience with staff scheduling, staffing-related planning, or coordinating staffing
• Experience resolving complex or escalated issues in a customer service or student services environment
• Experience collaborating or building relationships with faculty, cross-departmental colleagues, or external partners
• Experience developing and delivering presentations or facilitating meetings and training
• One (1) year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years

This is an in-person position at the Rio Salado College Tempe Testing Center located at 2323 W. 14th Street Tempe, AZ 85281. Travel to other Testing Center locations may be required for training and coverage purposes. Occasional Saturdays and evenings required. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License is required; employee must meet district minimum standards regarding driving. (Reference: MCCCD driving requirements.)
