- Lead and manage Warriors to Work (WtoW) regional team across multiple offices and field locations guiding the team’s performance to achieve Warriors to Work program goals and objectives and effectively deliver career transition guidance and employment activities for wounded service members (warriors) and their families.
- Perform business development activities including sourcing and qualifying employer partners, identifying decision makers, establishing lasting relationships, working closely with employer recruiters, marketing the value and skills of WtoW alumni and family members to employers, and scheduling visits to business locations in support of their veteran hiring initiatives.
- Actively engage with regional executive corporate decision makers to show them the value to their organization of hiring wounded veterans and family members.
- Establish and maintain clear and precise communication, including cascading messages, providing feedback to direct reports, and ensuring regional specialists and coordinators in all locations understand program priorities.
- Collaborate with other WtoW Regional Directors and other WWP programs and departments to ensure WWP and program priorities are successfully communicated and achieved.
- Ensure Warriors to Work activities are aligned with WWP’s strategic and operational plans by working collaboratively with the WtoW Director and other WtoW Regional Directors to positively impact overall programmatic growth and drive team performance to its highest achievable level.
- Oversee all employment program delivery across assigned region with an emphasis on standardization and full adherence to policy and procedure.
- Provide guidance to managers in development and execution of regional locations’ budgets.
- Five years of WWP Programs experience (e.g., Alumni, Mental Health & Wellness, Physical Health & Wellness) or business recruitment experience in a corporate environment
- Five years of staff leadership and management experience
- Proven leadership skills and ability to lead, motivate, coach, and educate staff members, especially with geographically dispersed subordinates
- Demonstrated ability to manage through vision and values
- Demonstrated understanding of relationship management and partnering
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Demonstrated understanding of budget management and fiduciary oversight principles
- Bachelor’s degree.
- An equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain ASIST Certification within 1 year of hire.
Demonstrates strong leadership and management capabilities, with a focus on guiding teams to achieve program goals and objectives. Proficient in relationship management, budget oversight, and effective communication to enhance veteran employment initiatives.
