The Senior Team Leader in Tailored Branch Support is responsible for leading a team of 15 to 20 associates while driving department performance, associate development, operational excellence, and stakeholder satisfaction. This role partners closely with the Department Leader to execute strategic priorities, achieve business goals, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Senior Team Leaders operate with a high degree of autonomy, balancing people leadership, project execution, risk management, and decision-making responsibilities. They influence outcomes across the department, build strong stakeholder partnerships, mentor developing leaders, and may serve as an interim Department Leader when needed.
What You'll Do- Team Leadership & Performance:
Lead and develop a team of 15 to 20 associates, establish goals, allocate resources, drive accountability, and foster a culture of trust, engagement, and continuous improvement. - Talent Development:
Attract, develop, and retain talent through coaching, performance management, development planning, and partnership with HR and Recruiting. Mentor leaders and model company values and behaviors. - Project & Change Leadership:
Lead department and division initiatives, align team efforts to strategic priorities, and drive process improvements through effective project and change management. - Stakeholder & Escalation Management:
Build strong and critical relationships across departments, advocate for branch and client needs, and resolve complex client and operational escalations using sound judgment and risk awareness. - Decision Making & Continuous Improvement:
Manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight, analyze complex business challenges, implement solutions, optimize processes, and leverage technology to improve efficiency, controls, and service outcomes.
Travel Requirements:
Will be asked to travel to participate in meetings, training sessions, etc.
- Series 7 license is required (SIE and Series 7 Top Off)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years leadership experience in financial services industry or 2+ years financial services experience along with 3+ years of non-industry specific leadership experience or successful completion of Leadership Development course required
- A diverse background across numerous areas of the division, firm, and/or industry is a plus. Experience in more than one Service area preferred, or equivalent breadth and depth of Service knowledge, with demonstrated proficiency of increasingly complex responsibilities.
- Advanced coaching and conflict management skills
- Series 66 is a plus
Please note that the hours for this position will support the MST/PST time zones and will be 9-6pm CST.
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
