The Operations Control Center (OCC) Manager will be responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of the Operations Control Center (OCC) for a large metropolitan light rail and streetcar transit system. The OCC Manager leads staff, manages incidents and disruptions, implements operational improvements, and ensures compliance with regulations.
This position is contingent on contract award.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for conducting performance reviews while overseeing and developing OCC staff.
- Manages and coordinates the functions of the OCC.
- Directs and coordinates emergency responses to service disruptions while ensuring timely communications with internal and external customers.
- Monitors the progress of line controllers’ trainees while providing counseling and evaluating progress.
- Oversees and ensures procedures and practices are implemented for accurate information in daily logs.
- Support in leading a customer-oriented culture where all staff ‘Think Like a Passenger’.
- Adheres to all local and federal (FTA) regulations and in accordance with Keolis and Agency policies.
Skills, Knowledge, &
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of rail operations experience in the rail transit industry.
- A minimum of 2 years conducting line control operations in the rail industry.
- NIMS Certification is required.
- Experience managing staff and coordinating complex operations.
- College degree preferred.
- Must be a resident of proposed business (or willing to relocate).
