Manager, Learning Design – Development

• Lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of learning solutions supporting IC, Specialty, and Commercial Claims performance
• Manage a team responsible for e-learning courses, assessments, learning websites, multimedia resources, reference materials, and supplemental learning assets
• Lead people-management activities including applicant review, hiring decisions, performance appraisals, salary adjustments, performance ratings, counseling, disciplinary action, and employment decisions
• Lead development of training programs, initiatives, and processes addressing business needs and improving organizational performance
• Guide design and development of e-learning content, assessments, reference guides, multimedia assets, videos, off-the-shelf materials, custom courses, and supplemental learning resources
• Oversee instructional design deliverables including course outlines, schematics, storyboards, interactions, feedback mechanisms, and approval cycles
• Establish development schedules, manage workflow, assign resources, and ensure timely delivery of learning design deliverables
• Ensure e-learning courses are integrated with the learning management system and learning assets are maintained, updated, and accessible
• Research, evaluate, and implement emerging learning methodologies and technologies
• Coach and develop e-learning staff by assigning work, setting expectations, providing feedback, and supporting capability growth
• Prepare department business plans and budgets, manage supplies and materials, and review financial plans for cost reduction and operational efficiency
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles

• Minimum of 4 years of training and development experience assessing team and organizational needs, developing curriculum, and delivering adult learning solutions across multiple media formats
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field
• Leadership experience preferred, including coaching associates, assigning work, reviewing performance, and developing team capability
• Strong professional communication skills
• Ability to engage associates, management, subject matter experts, and course sponsors
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to resolve complex business issues and support effective customer and stakeholder outcomes
• Ability to follow complex instructions and resolve or facilitate conflict resolution
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent learning design and development efforts
• Ability to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
• Must be able to perform essential functions including seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking, with or without accommodation
• Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time, if required

Demonstrates expertise in developing and managing e-learning solutions, including instructional design, curriculum development, and performance improvement strategies. Proven leadership in team management, coaching, and fostering organizational capability in a fast-paced environment.
