Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Manufacturing Foreman to lead daily shop floor operations and supervise CNC machining personnel. This role is responsible for ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and to quality standards while fostering a strong team environment. The ideal candidate has hands‑on multi‑axis CNC experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of CNC machinists, operators, and setup personnel
  • Assign jobs, manage workflow, and ensure production schedules are met
  • Oversee setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Ensure parts meet quality standards, tolerances, and customer specifications
  • Enforce safety policies, shop procedures, and housekeeping standards
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate CNC personnel; provide coaching and performance feedback
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues
  • Monitor machine utilization, scrap rates, and productivity metrics
  • Assist with process improvements, tooling selection, and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Maintain accurate production and labor records
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or trade school preferred
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including setup and troubleshooting
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and fixturing
  • Experience working with precision tolerances and blueprints/GD&T
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft office applications
Preferred Skills
  • Root Cause Corrective Action experience
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma Experience
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Forklift or crane certification
  • Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
  • Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time
  • Capable of standing for long periods
