Assembly A - 3rd shift
Tempe, AZ 85281
Duration: 12+ months (Possible for extension )
Pay rate range: $19 –19.50/hr on w2 (All inclusive)
Schedule:
5/8's Sunday through Thursday
Shift Time: 6PM - 2: 30AM
Job Description- The Tester’s primary function is to test potted modules with various electro-optical test equipment, evaluate, disposition, and rework image intensifier tubes to ensure that product meets all specifications so that only quality product moves forward. The Tester must be able to multitask in a manufacturing environment and may be required to perform specialized tests and perform rework procedures as directed by supervision.
Must maintain adequate throughput with high levels of quality while working in a dark room environment. - The Tester will adhere to procedures and work instructions to perform a variety of processes on substrates or components to achieve quality and yield goals set by their department. The specific processes could include activities such as:
- Produce a quality product that meets the customer specifications and maintain sufficient inventory to satisfy internal and external customers
- Perform inspection and tests on parts and assemblies per written specifications
- Use electrical and/or mechanical equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, current meters, voltage meters, dial calipers and indicators, height gauges, micrometers, and microscopes
- Complete and maintain accurate test data and records
- Interface with production and engineering teams
- Creation and maintenance of work instructions, visual aids, and standard work documents
- Use Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) United States citizenship required
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Darkness or low lighting (in inspection and test areas)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 0-3 years of prior relevant experience
- Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Must be able to work alone and with others in a dark room environment
- Knowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to job
- Ability to clearly read, write, and understand English (required)
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical measuring equipment and quality control terminology (preferred)
- Related manufacturing work experience (including soldering and high-volume production) Soldering certification preferred
- Must be able to multi-task
- Ability to become familiar with Six Sigma problem solving tools, 5S and Lean methodologies
- Knowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to job
- Manual Dexterity
- Hand-eye coordination
- Good (correctable) eyesight (or ability to discern visually)
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching (or position oneself)
- Working in a fixed position (able to sit or stand for extended periods of time)
