Job Description The CNC Programmer Machinist is responsible for independently programming and operating 3-axis and 4-axis milling machines to produce precise components. This role involves setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, and reading blueprints to optimize machining processes. The position requires occasional collaboration with engineering and design teams and offers opportunities for skill enhancement through on-the-job training.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute CNC programs for 3-axis and 4-axis milling machines (Fanuc control)
- Set up machines and select tools based on job requirements
- Interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production
- Optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality
- Collaborate occasionally with engineering and design teams
- 5+ years of experience in CNC programming and machining
- Proficient in G-code programming and CNC machine operation
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints and perform precision measurements
- Experience with Master Cam CAD/CAM software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- High attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
