Shipping/Receiving Clerk Performance

• Notify ready for process, completion and or shipment
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, bend, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, talk and hear, good vision abilities required for close vision and to adjust focus
• Basic computer skills required for Data Entry
• Build boxes as required; relative to type/s of shipments that are processed
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area
• Willing and able to work overtime including weekends when necessary
• Observe safety procedures including but not limited to wearing proper safety equipment such as eye protection.
• Willing to help out in other areas when needed and stop what they may be doing to work on another job for shipping

• Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
• Unload packages from incoming trucks
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
• Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
• Processes packages for shipping using UPS / Fed Ex and other carrier services
• Processes and verifies packing slips
• Processes and verifies certs
• Verifies count using a scale.
• Updates and maintains contact information for UPS World Ship: who, when, where

High School or GED

Relevant Technical career, or College class (desirable)

2 - 4 Experience Years
