AZ Production Assembler

Miller Edge, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Production Assembler to assemble fabricated parts and components using hand and power tools according to standard work instructions and product specifications. This entry-level role works under close supervision and is ideal for individuals with 0–1 year of experience seeking a career in manufacturing.

• Responsible for quality of product built utilizing Standard Work Instructions.
• Ensure that all quality-related problem(s) or product non-conformities are captured, corrected and reported to supervisor/manager.
• Ensure that all work assignments are completed within specified job cycle times.
• Maintain raw material supply to production line by following guidelines on material requisition procedure and communicate material shortages and/or defects to supervisors/manager in a timely manner.
• Utilize touch screen computer equipment to move product through production process.
• Utilize outlook and company email address to send and receive work related matters.
• Maintain safety standards according to Miller Edge Health & Safety Regulations.
• Promote and maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout plant.
• Cross train on different production lines; provide assistance and back up to shipping and receiving areas; and, provide on-the-job training to new or existing employees.
• Assist maintenance personnel during repair and maintenance of equipment; perform preventative maintenance activities (PMs) as needed; and, follow best housekeeping practices such as 5-S and other lean manufacturing activities.
• Perform as a back-up in different departments throughout plant.
• Other duties and tasks may be assigned in the support of the manufacturing process.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year of general or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

• Prolonged standing and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment and varying temperatures.
