Hours 4 am - 12:30 pm Monday through Friday. Must be open to Saturday work and overtime.
Pay Rate: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour.
The candidate will interview on site with manager and team.
What You Will Be DoingAs a Production Supervisor at our milk facility, you will oversee all aspects of milk processing operations. Your role involves leading a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to production schedules, maintaining quality standards, coordinating with other departments to optimize production efficiency, monitoring inventory levels, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. You will also ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, addressing any issues that arise during production.
Your leadership and expertise will be critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our milk facility.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production processes.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Lead, supervise, and support production associates.
- Compose and deliver performance evaluations, corrective action notices, and provide constructive feedback.
- Train, monitor, and enforce quality control standards.
- Address and rectify issues affecting product quality.
- Track, manage, and audit raw materials and finished goods inventory.
- Coordinate with the supply chain to optimize stock levels.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose scalable solutions.
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Enforce and promote safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety training for production personnel.
- Effectively collaborate with site cross‑functional partners (e.g., quality, logistics, maintenance).
- Relay information accurately, in detail, and respectfully to ensure smooth operations.
- Train new production associates.
- Provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Address and resolve production‑related issues promptly.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.).
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and update procedures accordingly.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment.
- Address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Generate reports for management on production metrics.
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent. Degree preferred.
- Strong preference for dairy experience.
- Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a food production environment. Food manufacturing experience is a must have.
- One (1) or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce.
- Ability to manage and develop associates.
- Strong skills and working knowledge of MS applications, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to grasp additional business‑related applications.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
