About the OpportunityThe Exhaust Processor’s primary function is to operate and oversee tube process stations and associated vacuum and electronic equipment to manufacture intensifier tube components. The processor removes numerous stainless‑steel bolts, unloads and reloads the systems without damaging the fragile tubes or equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Adhere to procedures and work instructions to achieve quality and yield goals.
- Produce quality products that meet customer specifications and maintain sufficient inventory.
- Interpret data from analytical/diagnostics equipment and make sound decisions.
- Follow written procedures and complete assigned work in a timely manner to keep production schedule while maintaining acceptable yields.
- Apply safety procedures (mechanical, chemical, electrical) applicable to the job.
- Use hand tools and follow written process procedures for intensifier tube processing.
- Monitor data from meters and sensing devices (vacuum, temperature, torque).
- Maintain accurate record entry through the Quality Tracking System (QTS).
- Define complex equipment issues and quality levels and inform engineering of deviations.
- Adhere to vacuum and clean‑room best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or production.
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Ability to wear clean‑room attire and work in a clean‑room environment.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment.
- Previous experience with ultra‑high vacuum technology or semiconductor processing desired (OJT provided).
- Ability to multi‑task while monitoring multiple exhaust stations.
Knowledge of Six Sigma, 5S, Lean methodologies. - Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to use PC/Microsoft Office.
- Ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance within 6 months of hire.
- Good communication skills.
- Teamwork oriented.
- Capacity to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to make quality decisions quickly.
- Patience.
Requires lift of 3‑5 lbs. and ability to sit for long periods. Works 12‑hour compressed work week with flexibility to work overtime as needed. Must obtain an Active Secret Clearance; subject to background check. Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
