Batching Blending Technician- Front End

Reporting to the department Manager, the Batching/Blending Technician is responsible to handle ingredients, maintains filters, and prepare product for bottling by mixing ingredients according to Refresco quality procedures and SAP. Supplies the production line with the blended product in a timely manner and helps to attain maximum product recovery.

Sunday‑Tuesday 4:00am‑4:00pm;
Wednesday 4:00am‑10:00am

• Adhere to health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices and wear required personal protective equipment while in the warehouse or production areas (hairnets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard‑toe shoes, etc.).
• Adhere to food quality and safety as per corporate, customer, and governing bodies (ex. SQF).
• Comply with FDA, state/city regulations, Refresco quality policies, GMP, HACCP, Allergen, Kosher, etc.
• Be trained and certified in batching/blending equipment.
• Ensure quality and integrity of product run on lines based on specifications.
• Transport required ingredients and pre‑weighs by forklift to and from required areas.
• Verify all ingredients against SAP, food safety, food quality, and inventory control parameters before conducting syrup batching.
• Program bulk ingredient delivery system.
• Follow instructions on batching/blending sheets, add proper ingredients, record amounts accurately.
• Obtain blend tank samples and take to quality laboratory for testing; follow quality department instructions for adjustments.
• Complete required documentation for batching/blending operation and forward to QA/Blending department for review.
• Maintain sanitation and cleaning of the area throughout the shift.
• Perform CIP/COP sanitation of all batching/blending lines, tanks and equipment as scheduled.
• Remove empty barrels and bins from area to storage or trailers.
• Receive and unload tankers of bulk concentrates as needed.
• Report all non‑compliance, product protection, food safety, and personal safety issues to management.

• Experience in a high‑speed beverage production environment preferred.
• Formal training in SAP, HACCP, GMP, Hygiene, etc. preferred.
• Able to routinely lift 50 lbs.
• Perform duties within high‑stress/pressure environment; sound general mathematical knowledge, e.g., measurements/formulas.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Solid comprehension of production schedules and laboratory testing.
• Understand quality improvement, increase efficiencies, improve yields, eliminate out‑of‑spec or damaged product.
• Attention to detail.
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification.

• Problem‑solving, quickly identify and resolve operational issues.
• Basic computer skills for operating production software and logging data.
• Analytical ability to process data and parameters to optimize production.
• Safety and risk management: participate in safety audits and inspections.

• High School Certification.
• 1–2 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Work schedule:
  
  Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evenings, overnight and holidays may be required; overtime scheduled as needed.
• Environment:
  Fast‑paced production plant with moving parts, noise requiring hearing protection; temperatures may be very hot or cold; laboratory and staging area temperature controlled; structure and supervision provided.

• Requires visual sensory attention to detail with one or two senses at a time.
