Assembler - Tempe, AZ - 1st shift (Contract to Hire)

This contract opportunity is with SOC’s client to work onsite in Tempe, AZ. The contract length is 12 months with a possibility to convert to a client FTE.

Description: Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents.
• Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Required Qualifications:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Good hand/eye coordination – manual dexterity is required as will be working with glass product
• Read drawings/blueprints/work instruction
• Ability to clearly read, write, and understand English (required)
• Close attention to detail and quality
• J-STD soldering experience

Desired

Qualifications:

• Microscope experience
• Soldering experience
• Experience handling small products/microchips
• Working knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical measuring equipment and quality control terminology (preferred)
• Related manufacturing work experience (including soldering and high-volume production) – soldering certification preferred

Employment Prerequisites
