Location: Tempe, AZ

Employment: Temp to Perm (12 month)

Industry: Aerospace and Defense

Compensation: $21.50 + 20% shift diff for Night

Schedule: 40 hours / week

About the Opportunity
  • Operate and oversee tube process stations and associated vacuum and electronic equipment to manufacture intensifier tube components.
  • Use hand tools to remove stainless‑steel bolts and access finished products from the equipment.

What You'll Do
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Adhere to procedures and work instructions to perform exhaust processing on components, achieving quality and yield goals set by the Exhaust department.
  • Produce a quality product that meets customer specifications and maintain sufficient inventory for internal and external customers.
  • Interpret data from analytical/diagnostics equipment to make sound decisions based on relevant facts.
  • Utilize hand tools and follow written procedures for intensifier image tube processing.
  • Monitor data from meters and sensing devices measuring vacuum, temperature, and torque.
  • Maintain accurate record entry through onsite Quality Tracking System (QTS).
  • Define complex equipment issues and quality levels, informing engineering of any process or component deviations from normal processing.
  • Adhere to best vacuum and clean room practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in ultra‑high vacuum technology or semiconductor processing (OJT provided).
  • 1+ years of experience in a mechanical background (e.g., airplane, shop, engines).
  • 1+ years of experience in SPC (Statistical Process Control).

  • Ability to wear clean‑room attire and work in a clean room.
  • Demonstrated speed and accuracy in accomplishing trained tasks.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Multitasking ability while monitoring multiple exhaust stations.
  • Comfortable with Six Sigma problem‑solving tools, 5S+1, and Lean methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Teamwork orientation and quick adaptation to team dynamics.
  • Quality decision‑making ability under time constraints.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, chemical, and electrical safety procedures applicable to the job.
Additional Information
  • Ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
  • Background check required upon offer of employment.
