Description3rd Shift Friday - Sunday 5am-5:30pm 10% differential. Work 36 get paid 40 Sign-On Bonus: $4000. 1st half paid after 30 days, and 2nd half paid after 60 days.
Duties/Responsibilities- Loads, Unloads, Starts, and Stops Machines.
- Sets the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.
- Watches gauges, dials, and other key indicators to make sure machines are working properly and work-pieces meet quality standards.
- Monitors machines during operation in order to detect dull cutting tools and excessive vibration.
- Measures dimensions of finished work-pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
- Calculates and sets machine movements according to drawing specs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools, including their uses and maintenance.
- Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
- Ability to control the operations of machining equipment and systems.
- Basic mathematics knowledge, particularly Trigonometry.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. 2 years of experience in relevant field preferred.
- 5S and Lean Manufacturing training.
- Basic Blueprint Reading.
- Documentation and Modern's Production System.
- Inspection Techniques for Machinists. SPC Charts and Tools. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Adjusting Boring heads.
