Production QC/QA, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Description
Reporting to the Supervisor Production, the Machine Operator Lead is responsible for providing the customer with the highest quality product in an efficient and cost‑effective manner. The role includes monitoring and operating machinery on the production lines to comply with established standard operating practices for each customer.
ScheduleWednesday 10:00 am‑4:00 pm;
Thursday‑Saturday 4:00 am‑4:00 pm with flexibility to work overtime.
- Adhere to health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required personal protective equipment while in warehouse or production areas.
- Maintain food quality and safety standards per corporate, customer, or governing body requirements.
- Acquire in‑depth operational knowledge of assigned line equipment and related ancillary equipment.
- Follow the production schedule and communicate issues or required changes to the Supervisor.
- Monitor the production line for defects, raw material issues, and packaging problems.
- Check finished product for proper closures, codes, and packaging specifications.
- Perform changeovers efficiently and accurately, ensuring correct settings and parts are installed.
- Record all necessary production and quality data, keep accurate downtime reports, and maintain documentation.
- Complete all end‑of‑shift duties to ensure a smooth transition for the incoming shift.
- Collaborate with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and eliminate out‑of‑specification product.
- Assist in training new employees, performing minor machine maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
- Experience in a high‑speed beverage production environment.
- Independent and efficient operation and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
- Rapid, accurate work under pressure.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting of machinery and production issues.
- Commitment to continuous improvement practices.
- Documentation and accurate recording of production data.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement of safety protocols.
- Effective verbal and written communication with team members and supervisors.
- Training and development of new hires and existing employees.
- High school certification or equivalent (GED).
- 3‑5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Work schedule includes weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight, and holidays; overtime scheduled as needed.
- Fast‑paced production plant with moving equipment, high noise levels requiring hearing protection, and temperatures ranging from very hot to relatively cold.

- Standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. and carrying or lifting other weights.
- Walking and driving within the plant premises.
- Climbing stairs or ladders and balancing on uneven surfaces.
- Attention to detail with visual and sensory focus.
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to manage mental stress from production quotas and deadlines.
